Pathway/Trail Use
Stay on designated pathways and single-track trails. People walking and biking off trail can have devastating consequences on the landscape. These include increased erosion, loss of natural vegetation, invasion of non-native plant species and destruction of habitat.
- It is against regulations to cycle anywhere but designated pathways and trails in the park.
- Do not pioneer new trails or cut across hairpin turns.
- Slow down when approaching other users.
- Keep to the right side of the pathway. Cyclists yield to pedestrians.
- Step off to the side when you stop so that others can pass you.
- Cyclists should ring their bells and call out “passing on your left.”
- Take special care on bridges. They are narrow and often congested.
Why Do I lose Power while Camping?
Alberta Parks campsites have different power options (15-amp, 20-amp, and 30-amp in the power serviced campsites.
Do not use adapters to draw power from a lower amp outlet for an RV that requires a higher amp plug. For example, do not attempt to draw power from a 15-amp outlet for an RV with a 30-amp plug. Powered sites have a limit to their capacity.
- Campers lose power, in most cases, when too much electricity is being used at once. Just like at home, when a circuit overloads a circuit breaker will immediately shut off to prevent an electrical fire.
- Plan to only use one or two electrical appliances at the same time, particularly during extremely hot days when many visitors are using air conditioning. Running the RV air conditioning full time will reduce the amount of electricity that can be used for other things.
- If the circuit breaker shuts off, reduce the number of electrical appliances in use before you reset it. For example, it is not possible to have air conditioning running continuously during hot days, and use a microwave, water pump or television.
- To prevent a circuit breaker from shutting off, prioritize what and when electrical appliances are in use.
- Have a back-up plan in case you do lose power, to ensure you can cook, stay cool and enjoy your camping experience. NOTE: This is the responsibility of the camper/ guest and not Elevated Experience Camping.
- Conserving electricity, and timing when you use your electricity in a campsite will ensure you can stay powered. NOTE: 15-Amp campsites do not support the use of air conditioners.
Management is not responsible for
personal injury, damage to property, lost or stolen items.
